At the end of Term 1 the Little Adventure Playground got moved closer to Hutt Syndicate.  We watched it being fixed and filled with bark.
It was ready for play in term 3 and we had a special ceremony to celebrate it being open again.

This term we have been doing gymnastics.  We have been working on our balancing, rolling and skipping skills.
We all enjoyed doing different skills and trying our BEST!

Here is a video of Hutt Syndicate's Folk Dancing performance.  We invited our parents to come and see all the different dances we had learnt in Term 2.

For the last day of term we made marshmallow and spaghetti structures.  Here are some photos of what we made.  Photos by Miss S and Rhys

On the 6th of June all of Hutt Syndicate went on buses up to Ferrymead in Christchurch.  It was a great day!  We got to dress up in costume, make cookies, clean a house, go to a school classroom (with a scary teacher called Mr Green), watch movies and go on a tram.  Here are some photos from the day.

For the end of our school book week the whole school dressed up as their favourite book characters.  We had a great day sharing our costumes with others and joining in the school parade.

Hutt Syndicate had a very successful duathlon on Thursday 7th March - a big thank you to Miss Reardon for organising it for us.  We practiced every day to improve our running so that we could be Better Every Single Time.  Everyone in Rimu had fun on the day racing in front of their family and friends.
Well done to Team 5 - Charlie H, Zai and Kohen who came first, and Team 3 - Dany, Charlie W and Jahdel who came third

Rimu had a very busy start to the year with Hutt Swimming in Weeks 3 and 4 of Term 1.  Every afternoon at 1pm we all got on a bus and went to the Ashburton Community Pool for our swimming lessons.

Everyone had fun learning new things like putting our heads under the water, making a starfish and sitting on the bottom of the pool.

Watch our video below to see photos of us swimming and hear our favourite parts.
